In addition to its dimmers, EcoDim is now introducing a powerful smart home hub. Together, they form a simple, reliable and smart solution for any installation. Whilst the dimmers create the perfect atmosphere, the Homey hub makes the building truly smart. This collaboration seamlessly combines safety, atmosphere, energy savings and convenience.

Security

With the Homey hub, you can easily connect various devices to optimally secure your home. Think of cameras, smart doorbells, motion detectors, smart locks, alarm systems and water sensors.

This way, you always stay in control — wherever you are. For example, you can have lights switch on automatically at set times, so it looks as though someone is at home.

Thanks to smart automations (‘Flows’), you can take it a step further. Is the back door open whilst you’re upstairs? Homey can automatically lock the door as soon as movement is detected on the driveway. Does the system recognise a family member? Then the door simply stays open.

The possibilities are endless and can be customised entirely to your liking.

Atmosphere

Effortlessly create the right atmosphere for every moment. With the Homey app, you can easily set up “Moods”: smart combinations of settings that together create the perfect ambience.

Think of a cosy Friday evening: dimmed lighting at 20%, warm 2200K bulbs and gentle background music at 15%.

From a relaxing evening to a productive working day — you can easily set different Moods, such as:

• Sleep mode
• Party mode
• Gaming mode
• Work mode
• And much more...

Anything is possible, fully tailored to your needs.

Energy saving

With the Homey hub, you gain real-time insight into your energy consumption, allowing you to see exactly where, when and how much energy is being used. This not only makes it easier to make informed choices, but also helps you achieve long-term savings.

Based on these insights, you can, for example, identify energy guzzlers in your home and replace or optimise them in a targeted manner. But the real power lies in the smart automations (Flows), which enable your home to actively contribute to energy savings.

For example, you can set it so that:

• Lights, appliances and heating to switch off automatically when the last person leaves the house
• The thermostat lowers based on occupancy, time of day or even your location
• Heating or air conditioning switches off automatically when a window or door is open
• Lights switch off as soon as there is sufficient daylight
• Appliances only operate during off-peak hours or when self-generated energy is available (e.g. via solar panels)

You can also manage peak consumption. If energy usage in your home suddenly spikes, Homey can automatically switch off non-essential devices to prevent overloading and avoid unnecessarily high costs.

Convenience

With Homey, you can control your entire home from a single, user-friendly app. Devices work together seamlessly and, thanks to smart Flows, daily tasks are fully automated.

Packages and Homey for Installers

EcoDim markets the Homey hub in various packages, optionally combined with smart dimmers. These are available through electrical wholesalers.

Homey for Installers is designed specifically for installers: a platform that allows you to manage all installed systems remotely. With the customer’s permission, you gain immediate access and can provide support quickly and efficiently — without needing to be on site.
